Emma Tredgett: Transitioning to freelancing was a pivotal moment for me. I was tired of the constraints of traditional agency representation and wanted to take control of my own narrative. Going freelance allowed me to explore a wider range of opportunities and build a brand that truly reflects my vision. It was a leap of faith that broadened my horizons and empowered me to pursue my career on my own terms.

Emma Tredgett: Initially, I was drawn to modeling with dreams of appearing in TV commercials, but the setbacks I faced reshaped my ambitions. Instead of letting these hurdles defeat me, I used them as stepping stones for growth. Each challenge became a catalyst for learning and evolution. This mindset of turning setbacks into opportunities helped me adapt and thrive in a fast-paced industry.

This ability to transition between styles has become my signature and has helped me stand out in a competitive field.

Emma Tredgett: For me, success is about the joy of pursuing my passion, not just about the awards or recognition. Winning the Model of the Year 2022 was a significant milestone, but it’s the fulfillment I get from doing what I love that truly drives me. Success is about finding joy and satisfaction in my work and continuing to push the boundaries of my creativity.
Cosmopolitan UAE: Looking ahead, what are your future aspirations and how do you plan to continue evolving in the modeling world?
Emma Tredgett: My journey is far from over. After my first magazine feature, which was a milestone, I’m focused on expanding my portfolio and exploring new projects. I plan to continue pushing creative boundaries and seeking fresh opportunities. Each new challenge is an opportunity to redefine what it means to be a successful freelance model and to further evolve in my career.
